The night before
We wrote our questions in visit prep and packed the vaccine record, a spare outfit and a bottle for right after.
At the visit
We asked which shots he was getting and what to watch for after. Feeding straight after helped him settle.
That evening
He was sleepier and fussier than usual. We kept the night light low and took turns.
